PADDOCK CAKES GIVEN AS PRIZES ON THE A CIRCUIT FROM COAST TO COAST

In 2007, the Washington International Horse Show gave Paddock Cakes as first place prizes in every class at their beautiful indoor show at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. We were honored by the invitation to come back east and by the fact that they considered our cookies worthy of the top prize for the best horses in the country. The positive response to our cookies from all the exhibitors made the big trip rewarding. We’ve been asked back next year for their 50th Anniversary Show, and we're planning to do something extra special. www.wihs.org

HITS horse shows in Ocala and Thermal will be giving Paddock Cakes sampler bags as an exhibitor gift. www.hitsshows.com

Paddock Cakes is also talking to the Capitol Challenge Horse Show about providing our cookies as prizes and as sampler bags for exhibitors.
Stay tuned…

On the West Coast, Larry and Marnye Langer of Langer Equestrian, who sure know how to put on a great shows, also purchased Paddock Cakes as prizes for their Northern California Woodside Horse Shows. In addition to the prizes, the Woodside Horse Shows gave every exhibitor a complimentary cookie sampler bag filled with popular Paddock Cakes flavors. Larry Langer is a class act! Sandy McKeon, who is in charge of awards, reported that she only had 2 complaints about giving our cookies as prizes. In all her years, and she has been doing a great job for a long time, she has never had riders fight over prizes or steal them. Well Sandy, can you blame them? Paddock Cakes was also glad to support Marnye’s Riding for Reading Program. www.leghorseshows.com

The Menlo Charity Horse Show also gave all of their exhibitors a sampler bag filled with Paddock Cakes. Betsy Glickbarg, who long ago founded and still runs this wonderful show, thinks of every last detail. Paddock Cakes was proud to support the Peninsula Center for the Blind. www.menlocharityhorseshow.com

Rae Dene Stone, who runs the Santa Barbara Horse Shows, also gave Paddock Cakes as prizes. Rae Dene picked Treat of the Month flavors matching the month and season of her shows. What a good idea! Rudy Leone and Jill Humphrey, who are rarely outdone, gave Paddock Pies as Championship prizes. The cakes were a big hit and, believe it or not, Jill Humphrey didn’t win every cake. Anne Polli also made sure that the exhibitors in all the shows she handles were happy. Paddock Cakes were at the back gates waiting for the winners.

If you want to win Paddock Cakes, ask your show management to join the Paddock Cakes craze sweeping the country from Coast to Coast! Who knows, you might just get lucky…

Again in 2008, you can find Sharmin or our Paddock Cakes Staff at horse shows selling cookies from our red golf cart, The Paddy Wagon. Also make sure to stop by the Paddock Cakes trailer, our retro cookie diner, for the latest and greatest from our kitchen. The shows with (**) next to them give Paddock Cakes as Prizes! Hope to see you on the Circuit…
